Monday Menu Plan Day

1. Sausage and chicken stew with rice
2. wednesday - roast (on big time sale!), roasted baby potatoes
3. "shake and bake" chicken
4. BBQ pork chops
and...
5. tonight - breaded fish, cauliflower, tomatoes with brie. Man, am I ever a sucker for brie....well, any kind of cheeze, actually. This was not the cheapest meal ever, but the brie was sure worth it!

And while we're on the subject of food, I must report on the recipe I linked to last week. Lactose Intolerant friends may want to avoid that one. Wow, was that ever a lot of cheeze, and I really like cheeze. Maybe if it wasn't a pizza where you pile even more cheeze on top the crust probably would have been really good. It held together really well and was quite tasty.

I also have found that my big kid child LOVES hummus. She gobbles it up. She ate it tonight instead of supper. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined she'd like it. So, I guess I'll have to make that more often. Grama D. puts olives in it and it's so yummy, so I bought some of those to try.

Well, I'm getting tired of hearing baby crying (I'm building up my tolerance (just kidding)) so better sign off.

Meal Plan Monday

The Plan this week:

1. pizzas. mine will be with this recipe which is wheat free. I hope it turns out, as I've been missing pizza.

2. chicken skewers. was supposed to be with tzaziki sauce but I forgot to buy cucumber, so I'm not sure what kind of sauce, if any, will show up.

3. stir fry. beef.

4. and 5. casserole from the freezer. Because I said so.

Monday Meal Plan Day

I saw this on a blog somewhere (wish I could find it now). Of course, it's Tuesday, but here's the plan for the week:

1. Chicken Meatballs and fresh veggies. This one is fun because you don't use any utensils. A green apple in the meatballs make them moist and delicious. In theory anyway.

2. Wednesday - we always have my sister in law and her husband over, so it's a big meal.
Something with ground beef - either spaghetti or chili or meatloaf. Probably Chilli if I have a can of beans. The beef was on sale and I bought a giant pack of it. I figure I can brown some of it and freeze it for another meal. Use up green peppers.

3. Flank Steak and salad. Also on Sale. Leftover flank steak will be for lunches. I need to find a good spice rub or something for the flank steak. Use big tomatoes and cucumbers.

4. Jambalaya. I have Shrimp and Scallops in the freezer. Will need to cook rice ahead of time.

So there you have it. Four days worth of food.
