I saw this on a blog somewhere (wish I could find it now). Of course, it's Tuesday, but here's the plan for the week:
1. Chicken Meatballs and fresh veggies. This one is fun because you don't use any utensils. A green apple in the meatballs make them moist and delicious. In theory anyway.
2. Wednesday - we always have my sister in law and her husband over, so it's a big meal.
Something with ground beef - either spaghetti or chili or meatloaf. Probably Chilli if I have a can of beans. The beef was on sale and I bought a giant pack of it. I figure I can brown some of it and freeze it for another meal. Use up green peppers.
3. Flank Steak and salad. Also on Sale. Leftover flank steak will be for lunches. I need to find a good spice rub or something for the flank steak. Use big tomatoes and cucumbers.
4. Jambalaya. I have Shrimp and Scallops in the freezer. Will need to cook rice ahead of time.
So there you have it. Four days worth of food.

That's a great meal plan.
My meal plan for the week consists of:
Monday: resist eating out
Tuesday: resist eating out. remind self that I love to cook.
Wednesday: feel guilty about the groceries that will go bad if I do eat out. resist eating out.
Thursday: eat out, it is almost the weekend after all!
Friday: feel guilty about eating out last night and subsequently eat at home lunch AND dinner.
Saturday: resist eating out for lunch, but can definitely justify it given yesterday. Going out for dinner.
It's a great system. I have a similar system for drycleaning (it involves a bin filled with dry clean only clothes that I take to the cleaners every March and then spend over $100 on drycleaning so I don't do it again for another year). Talk about an opportunity for some serious process improvement!
